1 lb boneless pork chop
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
2 medium tart apples, peeled and cored and sliced into 1/2-inch wedges
3 tablespoons chopped pecans or 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute pork chops in olive oil, 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until both sides are evenly browned. Remove; keep warm.
  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar,salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Add butter to skillet. Stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or just until apples are tender. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm.
  • Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly; about 4-5 minutes. Spoon sauce over apples and chops.
  • Sprinkle with nuts and serve.

4 (3/4-inch thick) (about 1 1/4 pounds) boneless pork loin chops
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread
1 (about 1 cup) tart apple, unpeeled, cored, thinly sliced
2 medium (about 2 cups) onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

Steps:

  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Melt Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread in 12-inch skillet until sizzling; add pork chops. Cook over medium heat, turning once, 6-8 minutes or until browned. Remove chops to serving platter; keep warm.
  • Place apple and onion slices into same skillet with pan juices. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes or until onions are caramelized. Stir in garlic; continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until garlic is softened.
  • Return chops to pan; continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until internal temperature of pork reaches at least 145°F and is no longer pink.
