Sweet Potato/Camote Delight Recipe. This Pinoy dessert is so easy to prepare. Peel off the skin and mashed the cook camote or sweet potato then add condensed milk, butter and sugar then mixed it and refrigerate.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups mashed Sweet Potato (Camote)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • Boil the Sweet Potato until cook
  • Peel the skin then place on a separate bowl.
  • Mix the butter, sugar and condensed milk
  • Mash sweet potato “camote” with fork until smooth.
  • Add butter mixture in mashed Camote and mix well.
  • Spoon in paper cups, top with butter and chilled for 30 minutes then serve.

Camote is the Filipino term for sweet potato. In this recipe, they're grated, fried, and sprinkled with white sugar to make a tasty snack.

2 cup peeled and grated camote (sweet potato)
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
for frying oil
for dusting white sugar

Steps:

  • Peel, grate, and rinse the camotes. Combine in a large bowl with the brown sugar, flour, and vanilla.
  • Pour a thin layer of oil into a large pan. Bring the oil to a medium high heat. Drop the camote mixture by spoonfuls into the oil and fry until golden brown, about to 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Drain on a plate lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with sugar before serving.

    2. Chop up all your fruit into similar-sized pieces (no smaller than a strawberry), peeling and coring as necessary, and removing any stones. Leave berries and grapes whole (if using).
    3. Place the fruit and water in a suitably sized pan on a medium heat.
    4. Bring to the boil, then cover and cook until the fruit is soft and the liquid has reduced, stirring occasionally – you want to end up with a fairly thick consistency.
    5. Have a taste and add a little sugar if needed.
    6. Remove from the heat and roughly mash with a potato masher.
    7. Cover and leave to cool a little. Enjoy warm, at room temperature or chilled.
