Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lb lean beef, sirloin
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sherry wine
1 cup mild onion, thinly sliced
1 cup celery, sliced diagonally
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups broccoli stems, peeled and thinly sliced
12 medium mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup peanut oil
2 small garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 medium tomatoes, peeled

Steps:

  • Toss beef in bowl with soy sauce and sherry. Cover and marinate for 30 minute.
  • Prepare vegetables. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in wok or wide frying pan over low heat. Add garlic and saute over high heat.
  • Add drained beef (reserve marinade). Stir-fry until meat is cooked.
  • Add onions, celery, broccoli and mushrooms. Cover and steam about 5 minute.
  • Mix marinade with cornstarch and pour into pan. heat to boiling. Cook for a few seconds until thickened. Turn into serving dishl Garnish with the tomato if you like. Serve at once.

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 oz Sirloin Steak
100 g Red Onion
100 g Asda Mushrooms
100 g Mixed Pepper
3-5 Sprays Garlic Spray Oil
3-5 Sprays Butter Spray Oil
1-2 Pinch Black Pepper
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce

Steps:

  • Trim Steak of all Fat and dice up or cut in to Strips.
  • Fry up the Steak with Garlic Spray Oil, don't go mental with cooking as you are only looking to basically cook the outside and give a nice colour.
  • Add Veg and cook with Butter Oil and cook together until your desired texture (I don't like crunchy) and add Soy Sauce near the end to finish Cooking.

  • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Spread steak out in the pan and cook until seared on one side, about 1 minute. Add garlic, jalapeno and ginger and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add bean sprouts and spinach (the pan will be very full). Pour the mirin mixture into the pan and stir gently until the sauce thickens and the spinach is wilted, about 3 minutes. Stir in cilantro and sesame oil. Serve topped with sesame seeds (if using).
