Bloody Marys are perfect for that Sunday morning brunch. This can also be served as a virgin bloody Mary (minus the vodka).

3 cups bottled Bloody Mary mix
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
½ cup kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 lime, juiced
6 (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers vodka
6 dill pickle spears
1 fresh lime, cut into wedges

Steps:

  • In a large pitcher, stir together the Bloody Mary mix, horseradish, dill, hot pepper sauce, and dill pickle juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  • In a shallow dish, stir together the kosher salt, pepper and celery seed. Pour the lime juice onto a saucer. Dip each glass into the lime juice to coat the rim, then into the spice mixture. Fill each glass with ice. Pour one shot of vodka into each glass if using. Fill with the Bloody Mary mixture. Garnish each glass with a wedge of lime and a dill pickle spear.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon celery salt, divided
1-1/2 to 2 cups ice cubes, divided
2 ounces vodka
1 cup tomato juice, chilled
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1-1/2 teaspoons lime juice
3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish, optional
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
OPTIONAL GARNISHES:
Celery rib, pickle spear, green and ripe olives, cucumber slice and/or cocktail shrimp

Steps:

  • Using water, moisten rim of a highball glass. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon celery salt on a small plate; dip rim into salt. Discard remaining celery salt from plate. Fill a shaker three-fourths full with ice. Place remaining ice in prepared glass. , Add vodka, juices, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish if desired, pepper, remaining celery salt and pepper sauce to shaker; cover and shake until condensation forms on exterior, 10-15 seconds. Strain into prepared glass. Garnish as desired.
