Feta, mozzarella and Asiago cheeses combine with roasted garlic, onion and artichokes for a real California flavor treat.

1 whole bulb garlic
1/2 cup nonfat sour cream
1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Thin Crust Pizza Crust
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 large sweet onion, halved, sliced (about 2 cups)
1 cup chopped artichoke hearts (from 14 oz can)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
1/2 cup finely shredded Asiago or Parmesan cheese (2 oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400° F. Place garlic bulb in small microwave-safe bowl; cover with microwave-safe waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes or until very soft. Break garlic cloves apart; set aside to cool slightly.
  • Press garlic cloves lightly to squeeze out soft garlic into small bowl; mash with fork. Add sour cream; mix well. Gently stir in feta cheese.
  • Grease 12-inch pizza pan. Unroll dough; place dough in greased pan. Starting at center, press out dough to edges of pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until crust begins to brown.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in medium nonstick skillet over high heat until hot. Add onion; cook and stir until onion begins to brown, adding 1 tablespoon water if necessary to prevent scorching. Spread crust with garlic mixture. Top with artichokes, onion and shredded cheeses. Bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

My Whole Wheat Yeast Free Herbed Pizza Dough #111650 is a perfect match for this pizza and is the ONLY crust I use when making this pizza. Note: I have been making this pizza for so long I don't measure the cottage cheese - I think I use closer to 1 cup.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 whole ready to bake pizza dough (OR Whole Wheat Yeast Free Herbed Pizza Dough recipe 111650)
5 ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon oregano
3/4 cup part-skim cottage cheese

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil, add garlic and cook until golden.
  • Brush garlic oil mixture over dough leaving 1/2" of outer dough uncovered.
  • Sprinkle oiled surface of dough with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake 10 minutes at 400°F.
  • Combine parmesan, parsley, and oregano.
  • Remove pizza from oven and drop cottage cheese by 8 rounded piles in a circular pattern onto pizza.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan mixture.
  • Bake 10- 15 minutes at 400°F.
