CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKIES RECIPE -

2 cups flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup light margarine
1/3 cup egg substitute (egg beaters)
3/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Mix together the first 4 ingredients.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix together the next 3 ingredients.
  • Blend together first& second and add yogurt, vanilla and chocolate chips.
  • Dough will be on the wet side.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes.

3/4 cup plain lowfat yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup fat free egg substitute
1/4 cup unsalted stick margarine softened
1/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • "1. Preheat oven to 375°. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and unsweetened cocoa powder in a large bowl. 2. Combine the yogurt and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. 3. In the bowl of a stand mixer (or you may use a handheld mixer), combine egg substitute, margarine and brown sugar. Beat until it is light and fluffy, but do not over mix. 4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg/margarine/brown sugar mixture. Add the yogurt/vanilla extract mixture. 5. Stir in semisweet chocolate chips until just combined. 6. Scoop dough by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes and cool on a rack."
