CAKE FOR 12 YEAR OLD BOY RECIPES

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and prepare three 8 inch cake pans with shortening and a dusting of flour. Line pans with parchment or wax paper. Mix cake mixes together according to box instructions.  Then add remaining ingredients.  Bake at 325 degrees until cakes spring back when touched in the center. This makes a lot of cake batter.  You can bake up and freeze any extra layers, tightly wrapped, or you can half the recipe.  If you half the recipe, I would use the spice cake mix rather than the white.

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square cake pan.
• Cream sugar and butter together in a mixing bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating briefly after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
• Combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Add to the wet ingredients and mix well. Add milk and stir until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared cake pan.
• Bake in the preheated oven until the top springs back when lightly touched, 30 to 40 minutes.
