Spicy Cajun Buttery Shrimp - Magic Skillet image

Spicy Cajun butter shrimp. Delicious shrimp cooked with Creole spices

Total Time 25 minutes

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 15 minutes

Steps:

  • Season shrimp with Creole spices.
  • In a large nonstick skillet,heat 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Add seasoned shrimp and saute for about 3-5 minutes.Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add remaining butter to the skillet. Add minced garlic and cook,stirring,for 1 minute or until garlic is fragrant. Add fresh herbs and stir in lemon juice and chicken stock.
  • Bring mixture to a boil,then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in cooked shrimp.Toss well to coat. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Serve with over cooked rice.

1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and de-veined
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine first 8 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; seal bag and shake to coat.
  • Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat until hot.
  • Add shrimp; saute 4- 5 minutes or until shrimp are done.
