This grilled chicken sandwich was introduced by America's number-two burger chain in 1990, and soon after the launch, the BK Broiler was selling at a rate of over a million a day. Not good news for chickens. This one's easy to duplicate at home. To clone the shape of the chicken served at the burger giant, you'll slice the chicken breasts in half, and pound each piece flat with a mallet. Pounding things is fun. Let the chicken marinate and then fire up the grill. The recipe makes four sandwiches and can be easily doubled if necessary for a king-size munch fest. A nice break from typical hamburgers and much healthier for you. These chicken burgers are flavorful, fairly simple to make, and quite delicious. I serve these burgers on chive biscuits with tomato chutney. Eat to your heart's content!

Steps:
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
- Lightly spray a saute pan with cooking or oil spray over medium heat. Saute the onion with the garlic first, then the bell pepper, then the mushrooms, tomatoes and carrots, all to desired tenderness. Set aside and allow all vegetables to cool completely.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken and vegetables. Add the egg, bread crumbs and seasonings to taste. Mix all together well and form into 8 patties.
- Grill over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Some say it had mayonnaise- So use which one you remember! one chicken breast produces 2 sandwiches. You can use a wheat bun that has oats on top or just use a sesame seed bun like on the whopper and use which sauce you remember. it would be easy just to add dill to your ranch dressing, but I personally don't think it makes a difference.
