2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon ground coriander, or more to taste
1 teaspoon ground cumin, or more to taste
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon ground red chile pepper, or to taste
salt to taste
½ cup water
½ cup chana dal
½ cup chopped cilantro
2 eggs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
½ teaspoon ground red chile pepper, or to taste
salt to taste
¼ cup bread crumbs, or as needed
¼ cup vegetable oil, or as needed

Steps:

  • Heat a stockpot over medium heat; add ground beef. Stir in garlic paste, ginger paste, coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon ground red chile, and salt to taste. Add water and dal; simmer until meat is fully cooked and all water has evaporated, 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Blend beef and dal mixture together using an immersion blender in the stockpot. Add 1/2 cup cilantro; blend to combine. Roll spoonfuls of beef and dal mixture into into walnut-sized balls; shape into smooth flat patties.
  • Whisk eggs, 1 tablespoon cilantro, 1/2 teaspoon ground red chile, and salt to taste together in a bowl. Place bread crumbs on a plate. Dip each patty into egg mixture, then roll in bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties in a single layer until golden brown and crisp, 2 to 4 minutes per side.

Bun kabab Karachi walay with Chutney Raita Recipe in English is an easy and traditional cooking recipe to prepare at home. It provides you an awesome taste of Pakistani Recipes.

Gram lentil (chanay ki daal) 1 cup Potatoes 2 medium sized Red whole chilies 8 - 10 Cumin seeds 1 tsp Garlic Cloves 3 -4/1 tbsp Ginger 1 tbsp Onion 1 medium sized Salt 1 tsp Khatai powder 1 1/2 tsp Chat masala 1 1/2 tsp Garam masala 1 tsp Eggs 2 beaten Burger Buns 4 Sliced onion 2 -3 tbsp For chutney raita (sauce) : Mint leaves 1 cup Corinder leaves/ cilantro1 cup Tamarind pulp 1/4 cup Salt to taste ( 1 tsp) Green chilies 2 -3 Sugar 2 tsp Chat masala 2 tsp Yogurt 1 cup

Steps:

  • Wash and soak gram lentil at least for 4 - 6 hours. I did overnight. Boil potatoes and mash them finely. Then separately boil soaked lentil with onion, whole red chilies, cumin seeds, ginger and garlic till it gets tender. Strain and chop it till it turns into fine paste in chopper. Then add in mashed potatoes, salt, khatai powder, chat masala and garam masala and mix well with hands. And shape them like a patty. For chutney (sauce): add all ingredients in blender jug. Blend for 3 - 4 minutes until all ingredients are combined well. For yogurt dip: whip yogurt and add chutney according to your taste. Then add some salt to adjust taste. I used around 3 tbsp of chutney. Now, dip prepared patty in beaten eggs. And fry on griddle with very little oil. Cook till color comes on both sides and in between pour the bubbles of beaten eggs. Toast the buns. Place patties inside the buns. Serve with salad and chutney.

Let it cool. In chopper,add lentil mixture,potatoes,black pepper powder,cloves powder,garam masala powder,mint leaves,fresh coriander,green chillies and chop until well combined. Wet hands with water,take a mixture and make kababs of equal sizes (makes 14-15). In bowl,add eggs and beat until fluffy.
