Hot Honey Broiled Sockeye Salmon | Hy-Vee image

Honey-Sriracha glazed salmon, yes please!

1 lbs. of fillet Bristol Bay sockeye salmon
0 Hy-Vee salt
6 tbsp. of Hy-Vee unsalted butter
3 clove(s) of garlic
3 tbsp. of Hy-Vee Sriracha sauce
3.5 tbsp. of Hy-Vee honey
0 Lime wedges
0 Fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • 1.

    Preheat broiler to HIGH. Pat salmon dry and place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Season filet with salt; set aside.

  • 2.

    In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in garlic, Sriracha, and honey. Cook 2 minutes or until combined and fragrant. Remove from heat and strain garlic out of sauce. Drizzle half of the Sriracha honey butter salmon fillet, reserve other half or Sriracha sauce for serving.

  • 3.

    Place salmon in the oven about 6-inches away from the heat source. Broil salmon, keeping a close eye on it until salmon easily flakes with a fork (145 degrees), about 6 minutes. Serve salmon with lime wedges, cilantro, and reserved half of Sriracha sauce.

4 (6-ounce) portions of sockeye salmon
salt to taste
6 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, whole smashed
3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
3½ tablespoons honey
cilantro, chopped
lime wedges (or lime juice)

Steps:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and place it on a foil-lined baking sheet. Season each piece of salmon generously with salt.
  • Set broiler to high.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the garlic, spicy Sriracha sauce and honey, cooking 2 minutes until melted together and fragrant.
  • Remove from heat and remove garlic pieces from sauce.
  • With the salmon skin-side down, drizzle half of the honey-sriracha sauce over the salmon to evenly coat, reserving the rest of the sauce for serving.
  • Place the salmon in the oven on the middle-upper rack (about 6 inches from the heat source.
  • Broil the salmon, keeping a close eye on it, until cooked to medium in the center, about 6 minutes.
  • Serve the salmon promptly with cilantro, lime wedges, and an additional drizzle of Sriracha honey butter.
