Four of our favorite dinnertime ingredients come together in this chicken broccoli Alfredo pasta dish—versatile chicken breast, family-friendly broccoli, always-on-hand pasta and a homemade Alfredo sauce that comes together in a snap.

Number Of Ingredients 9

Fettuccine or other favorite pasta, cooked according to package directions
1 to 2 cups fresh chopped broccoli, cooked and hot
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 teaspoon (1 clove) minced garlic
2 cups heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 to 3 cooked chicken breasts, diced

Steps:

  • Cook fettuccine according to package directions adding broccoli last 3 minutes, drain. Set aside.
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic with the butter. Add cream, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Simmer, uncovered, for 10 to 12 minutes or until thick, stirring frequently. Trust me, it will thicken. When sauce has reached desired consistency, stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • Add cooked chicken to Alfredo sauce and heat through. Serve over hot, cooked fettuccine and broccoli.

Oh, yum! This chicken fettuccini Alfredo is tasty. What's not to love? It has a cheesy, buttery garlic Alfredo sauce that's easy to make. Bits of crunchy broccoli add texture to the dish. Mixed with chicken breasts, it's a hearty restaurant-quality meal.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 pint(s) heavy cream
1/2 cup(s) Parmesan cheese, shredded
1/2 stick(s) butter
1 - 2 bunch(es) broccoli, fresh
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
1 pound(s) chicken breast, cubed 1 inch
- lemon pepper, to taste
- garlic powder, to taste
- salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 - 1/2 package(s) fettuccine pasta

Steps:

  • Combine cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese in a saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring continually until it begins to reach boiling. Remove from heat. Be careful not to overcook. It should be slightly thickened.
  • Steam broccoli florets in a vegetable steamer for about 16 min.
  • Sprinkle chicken with lemon pepper seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss lightly.
  • Add chicken to heated olive oil in a large frying pan. Stir occasionally until fully cooked.
  • Prepare fettuccine pasta in a pot of salted water until al dente, about 7 minutes or so. Drain.
  • In a large pasta bowl, combine pasta, chicken, broccoli, and sauce. Toss and serve hot. Enjoy!
