6 cups Farfalle
4 tablespoons olive oil
4 rashers Bacon (or prosciutto)
2 cups frozen peas
1 tablespoon chopped thyme
2 sprigs Basil (leaves only)
0.5 cup Parmesan (shaved)

Steps:

  • Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil and cook the farfalle for 10 - 12 minutes or until cooked al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat 2 tbsp of the oil in a pan and fry the bacon until crisp. Drain on kitchen paper and set aside.
  • Cook the peas in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes and drain well.
  • Drain the pasta and stir in the bacon, peas, thyme, basil and remaining olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and served topped with the parmesan shavings.

  • Cook pasta as directed on pkg, adding peas during last 3-4 min of cooking time. Drain; return to saucepan.
  • Add Alfredo sauce and bacon; toss to coat. Cook and stir over low heat just until thoroughly heated.
