Fourth Regiment Cocktail Recipe image

For this vintage Manhattan riff, I've used two (aromatic and celery) of the three styles of bitters stipulated for this cocktail by Charles H. Baker along with a Creole-style bitters which some folk say the Fourth Regiment was originally made. The third style Baker stipulated was orange bitters but I like to add bitter orange oil notes by way of an orange zest twist in place of the lime twist Baker specifies.

45 ml Whiskey - Bourbon whiskey
15 ml Whiskey - Rye whiskey (100 proof / 50% alc./vol.)
30 ml Vermouth - Rosso/rouge (sweet) vermouth
1 Peychaud's / Creole bitters
1 Angostura or other aromatic bitters
2 Celery bitters
