1 bay leaf, crumbled
2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves
2 teaspoons dried marjoram
6 pieces cheesecloth, each 4 inch square

Steps:

  • Combine all herbal ingredients.
  • Lay each square of cheesecloth separately on a table; onto each square place 2 rounded teaspoons.

3 cloves garlic, peeled and slightly crushed
2 bay leaves, halved

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients on an 8-inch square of cheesecloth; tie ends of cheesecloth securely. Add bouquet garni to soups, stews, or vegetables cooked in a small amount of water.
