Number Of Ingredients 13

One 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup mayonnaise 
1/2 cup sour cream 
1/3 cup heavy cream, at room temperature
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese 
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce 
1 teaspoon kosher salt 
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 
1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay
1 1/2 cups shredded white Cheddar
One 16-ounce container claw crab meat, picked through for shells 
Crackers, bread or tortilla chips, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and heavy cream until smooth. Stir in the Asiago, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, pepper, seafood seasoning and 1/2 cup of the Cheddar until well combined. Fold in the crab meat. Transfer to a 1-quart baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining Cheddar.
  • Bake until browned and bubbling, 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with crackers, bread or tortilla chips!

1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 pound Maryland jumbo lump crab meat

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler.
  • In a large bowl, combine the egg yolk, salt, pepper, mustard, Worcestershire, mayonnaise, and parsley. Then, gently fold in crabmeat (be careful not to break up the lumps). Shape into cakes and broil for 5 minutes.

CRAB-STUFFED FLOUNDER - JUST A PINCH RECIPES
I was craving fish one day and wanted to have something other than our usual fried fish. This is what I created - a tender, flaky and moist fillet of flounder, wrapped around a lightly seasoned stuffing of crab and fresh bread crumbs, brushed with butter and gently baked to perfection. Delicious! It takes a little more time and effort, but it is well worth it. It's a great dish for a dinner party or a special occasion. You may use fresh crabmeat instead of canned and any white fish similar to flounder, if desired.

  • *NOTE: To make a sauce, while fish is in oven, reduce crab liquid to about 1/3 cup by boiling either in a small pan on the stovetop or pouring into a 4 cup glass measuring cup and microwaving on high power for 6 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat, add 2 tablespoons butter and 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice. Return to heat/microwave for additional 2 minutes. Pour over fish or directly into baking dish; swirl dish a bit to mix sauce with juices in dish. Plate fish with a spoonful of the sauce.
