This is an extremely fruity shake which turns out a pleasingly purple hue. You can use other berries as well, strawberries are also good, but this is my favorite combo. It's a fast healthy breakfast if you don't feel like eating; I also like them after exercise.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup frozen blueberries (unsweetened)
1 cup frozen raspberries (unsweetened)
4 -5 tablespoons plain low-fat yogurt
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup water (optional)
sugar, to taste (I use 3-4 Tbsp of sugar but it depends on the sweetness of the fruit)

Steps:

  • Put blueberries, raspberries, yogurt, sweetener, and 3/4 cup of water in blender.
  • Blend for a while - you may need to stop your blender and mix things about with a long-handled spoon occasionally.
  • If fruit shake is too thick, add the other 1/4 cup of water.
  • Drink immediately for best flavor and texture.
  • May be kept in the refrigerator for a while but will separate - stir to recombine.

Make blue raspberry slushies at home with this simple 3 step recipe! These are super delicious and the preparation is also super fun, your kids will love it!

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 tsp McCormick Raspberry Extract
1 cup of sugar
8-12 drops of McCormick Neon Blue Food Coloring
8 cups of cold water

Steps:

  • Take your freezer-proof bowl and all the ingredients.
  • Mix them together in the large bowl, start with the 8 cups of cold water, add 2 cups cup sugar, then add 3 tsp McCormick Raspberry Extract, and finally the food coloring of your choice.
  • Put the mix in the freezer for 3-4 hours, until fully frozen.
  • Take the bowl out of the freezer and put the frozen mix in your high-speed blender.
  • Periodically press the pulse button until you get your desired slushie texture.
  • Pour the tasty blue raspberry slushies into glasses and serve.
