Are you a sauce lover like me? Today, we will discuss how to make one of the most iconic sauces in recent years. Yes, we're talking about Blove’s Sauce.

1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Minced Ginger
1 tbsp White Pepper or Black Pepper
1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tbsp Cajun Spice Mix
1 tbsp Lemon Pepper
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Crushed Red Pepper
1 tbsp Oregano
1 tbsp Chili Powder
2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
4 sticks unsalted butter
1 Lemon
1 Tabasco
1 tbsp Vinegar
1 tbsp Accent Salt
Onions
4 bulbs bulbs of Garlic
Worcestershire Sauce
Minced Garlic
Brown Sugar

Steps:

  • add 3 bulbs of garlic into the blender, along with a quarter of an onion.
  • (As Blove states, it is not necessary to add the onion, but it is recommended to get that iconic taste. If you’re new to seafood, we would suggest following this recipe to the T.)
  • Blend this mixture on high speed for 15 seconds until the garlic is just cut up into little chunks.
  • Add 4 sticks of unsalted butter into a frying pan on low heat, heat the butter till it is fully liquid.
  • Add the minced garlic and onion into the frying pan along with a little ginger. Allow the mixture to heat on medium heat for 15 seconds, with occasional stirring.
  • Add 1 tsp each of hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce into the frying pan along with the seasoning. Occasionally stir the concoction until the mixture is uniform.
  • Bring the sauce to a boil and serve.

1?½ quarts water
¼ cup vinegar
½ lemon (cut into thin slices)
2 cloves garlic (smashed)
5 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
½ teaspoon peppercorns
1?½ teaspoons salt
1?¼ teaspoons cayenne
4 bay leaves (crumbled)
2 pounds large shrimp (in their shells)
½ pound unsalted butter
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a large pot, combine the water, vinegar, lemon slices, garlic, Old Bay Seasoning, peppercorns, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, 1/4 teaspoon of the cayenne, and the bay leaves. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp to the pot. Cover and bring back to a boil. Then continue boiling, partially covered, until the shrimp are just done, 1 to 2 minutes. Drain.
  • In a small stainless-steel saucepan, melt the butter. Remove the pan from the heat and add the Worcestershire sauce, the lemon juice, and the remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon cayenne. Divide the sauce among four small bowls. Serve the shrimp with the butter dipping sauce.
