BELL'S HOMEMADE SEASONING RECIPE -

I wanted to make "Recipe #66941" and did not know what Bells seasoning was. I could not find anything on Zaar, so I googled. I found this on www.bakespace.com and as it is so simple I thought I would post for those of us who live on the other side of the world! I believe this is very good in poultry stuffings according to Martha Stewart..

1/4 teaspoon thyme
3/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • Mix all together and use.

BELL'S POULTRY/STUFFING SEASONING RECIPE -

This recipe mix is as close as I could make to the original! =) Easy to make with spices from your cupboard and no salt!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon sage
1 tablespoon ginger
1 tablespoon marjoram
1 tablespoon thyme
1 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients and store in an airtight container.
  • Sprinkle on poultry before roasting or make a stuffing.
  • Stuffing: Melt 4 tbls. butter.
  • Saute 1/3 c.minced onion and 1/2 cup chopped celery until tender.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Add vegetables to eight slices of bread (cubed and toasted).
  • Add 1/2 cup water and 1 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning to the bread mixture and toss.

BELLS POULTRY STUFFING SEASONING RECIPES
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Butter one 2 quart casserole dish. In a saute pan, cook onion and celery in butter until soft. In a mixing bowl, combine onion and celery, bread cubes, poultry seasonings, mushrooms, egg and stock. Mix well and add to casserole dish.
