BEEFY MEATLOAF | HY-VEE

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 envelope(s) of Hy-Vee beefy onion soup mix
2 lbs. of ground beef
0.75 c. of Hy-Vee plain dry bread crumbs
2 Hy-Vee eggs
0.25 c. of water
0.333 c. of Hy-Vee ketchup

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine all ingredients except ketchup.
  • 2. Shape into a loaf, place on a 13-by-9-inch baking or roasting pan and baste with ketchup.
  • 3. Bake 50 minutes and broil for 10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

cooking spray
¾ pound ground turkey
¾ pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup milk
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
? cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine ground turkey, ground beef, onion, milk, bread crumbs, egg, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Press into the prepared pan.
  • Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a separate bowl and whisk together. Pour mixture over meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 1 hour. It's best to let rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
