1 lb round steak
1 lb pork steak
4 teaspoons flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup sliced carrot
3 peeled potatoes, cut into chunks
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups tomato sauce
1 (6 1/2 ounce) can mushrooms
1 cup water
1 onion, chopped

Steps:

  • Cut steaks in 1 inches.
  • pieces.
  • Mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss steak in flour mix.
  • Heat oil in lg dutch oven.
  • Brown meat.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, or until meat is tender and vegetables are done.

400 grams Beef
400 grams Pork shoulder
4 carrots
2 onions
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 tablespoon Tomato paste
1 teaspoon ground Caraway
2 tablespoons sweet ground paprika
500 milliliters Beef broth
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
salt
freshly ground peppers
cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Rinse and pat dry beef and pork. Cut into bite-size cubes. Peel carrots and cut into segments about 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) long. Peel and slice onions. Heat oil in a large pan and brown the meat in batches. 
  • Saute carrot and onions in remaining oil. Stir in tomato paste and cumin. Add browned meat and paprika. Deglaze with broth, add bay leaf and simmer, covered, for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Add additional broth to reach desired consistency. Stir in parsley and season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Serve with noodles as desired.

I went ahead with the recipe anyway, and it was absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend trying pork stew meat for a change of pace.
