PRESSURE COOKER BEEF BRISKET RECIPE - MEALTHY.COM

Pressure Cooker Beef Brisket Recipe - Mealthy.com image

Our pressure cooker recipe for tender, juicy beef brisket is prepared with a flavorful homemade rub. What would traditionally take hours to tenderize and cook is ready in just over an hour in the MultiPot Pressure Cooker. Black pepper, salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic salt and onion powder come together in the brisket rub. If you have a favorite blend, give that a try instead! You can even turn this succulent dish into brisket sliders by serving them on top of small buns with a store-bought or homemade coleslaw for crunch.

Provided by Marrekus and Krysten Wilkes

Total Time 1 hours 25 minutes

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tablespoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 (4 pound) beef brisket, quartered
1 cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Mix pepper, salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic salt, and onion powder together in a bowl; rub onto brisket pieces to coat. Lay brisket in pressure cooker. Pour water and Worcestershire sauce over the meat. Lock pressure cooker lid in place and set steam vent to Sealing. Select Pressure Cook (Manual) and cook for 60 minutes on High pressure. Once the cooking cycle has completed allow pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then set steam vent to Venting to quick-release remaining pressure. Remove brisket to a cutting board. Drain liquid from the pot through a fine-mesh strainer; discard fat and solids. Slice brisket 1-inch thick. Drizzle pan liquid over brisket to serve.

PRESSURE COOKER BEEF PHO RECIPE - NYT COOKING
An elegant, comforting bowl of pho usually requires blanching beef bones and then simmering them with spices for hours. Andrea Nguyen, a cookbook author who lives in drought-plagued California, wanted the same effect but in a recipe that used less water and less energy. This broth can be put together in less than an hour. It cooks in a standard stove-top pressure cooker for 20 minutes and in an electric pressure cooker for 30. “As much as I love to simmer a stockpot of beef pho for three hours,” Ms. Nguyen says, “it’s incredibly liberating to make a pretty good version for four people in about an hour."

PERFECT PRESSURE COOKER CORNED BEEF RECIPE - FOOD.COM
The easiest and most tender corned beef. This recipe is for all of you that have that pressure cooker tucked away someplace. It makes the most tender corned beef brisket, in just over an hour. Cooking with the water tends to cut the salt down some also. Once you make it this way, you'll never go back to oven cooking. Just remember the key to a good brisket, is always cutting against the grain. The point cut may have two or more grains, so cut carefully.

  • Turn burner on, and bring to a boil, put cover and rocker on, and cook until rocker starts rocking. Keep at medium to low rocking motion, and cook for 1 hour. Turn off burner. Allow pressure to escape on it's own. Carefully open pot and remove meat to serving platter. Let rest 5 minutes, and slice in thin slices, against the grain with electric knife.

PRESSURE COOKER CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE RECIPE - NYT COOKING
Corned beef is really just brisket that’s been cured in salt and spices. Historically, this was done for preservation, but the method of “corning” has remained because it transforms the meat into a bold, aromatic and salty treat. You can corn your own brisket if you have a week to spare, or you can buy one that’s brined but uncooked, which is what is used here. Each one comes with a little sachet of pickling spices, usually coriander and mustard seeds, allspice and crumbled bay leaf. Make sure to fish it out of the package and save it, because those spices perfume the beef as it braises. Get a corned beef made from flat-cut brisket, if you can, as it will be easier to slice into neat, uniform slabs. (The point cut has more striations of fat and may fall apart when sliced.) Serve this satisfying one-pot meal with mustard and beer. (If you have more time, or you don't have a pressure cooker, here are slow cooker and oven versions of the recipe.)

  • Let the corned beef rest for 5 to 10 minutes then slice it against the grain into 1/2-inch slabs. Place the beef slices on the serving platter alongside the vegetables and drizzle everything with a little bit of the cooking liquid. Taste the vegetables, and season them with flaky sea salt, if necessary. (The beef will not need to be seasoned with salt.) Season the beef and vegetables to taste with black pepper. Serve with Dijon mustard.

PRESSURE COOKER POT ROAST BEEF RECIPE - BBC FOOD
Make an inexpensive joint of beef go further with this all-in-one dish made in the pressure cooker – the beef will be meltingly tender. Use whatever root veggies you have on hand. No parsnips? Just leave them out. Half a swede hanging out in the fridge? Throw it in. No leeks? Double up on onions. Fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme will work really well here too, if you have them. For this recipe you will need a pressure cooker.

BEEF BRISKET WITH RED WINE & SHALLOTS | BEEF RECIPES ...

    1. Peel the shallots and garlic. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker (or heavy-based casserole). Add the beef and turn it every couple of minutes, or until it's golden on all sides. Remove and set aside.
    2. Add the whole shallots and garlic to the pan and cook for around 10 minutes, or until they start to soften and take on colour. Finely grate in around a quarter if the nutmeg, then add all remaining ingredients, except the beef brisket.
    3. Half fill the tomato tin with water and tip this in too. Season well with sea salt and black pepper. Gently stir until hot and starting to thicken.
    4. Return the beef to the pan and put the lid on, making sure the valve is shut. Cook on a low heat for 1 hour 15 minutes (or 2 hours if not using a pressure cooker).
    5. Release the valve and, once the steam has stopped hissing, remove the lid. Leave the beef to rest for 10 minutes before removing. It should flake apart easily with 2 forks, though if it doesn't, it's fine to continue cooking it for a few more minutes.
    6. Stir the remaining sauce and season to taste. Break apart or carve the beef and serve with the lovely rich sauce spooned over the top.
