CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
My mom used to make this recipe. It can also be made with 3/4 pound browned, drained hamburger. We called it SOS: Same Ole Stuff. Great comfort food! Either recipe is easy to make and tastes great with a cold beer. Serve over toast.

- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour all at once to form a roux. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring, until thickened. Bring to a boil, stir in beef and cayenne, heat through and serve over toast.

While it may not always look appetizing, this dip is always gone when we make it for parties or family events. Everyone asks for the recipe and can't believe how easy it is. Sometimes we substitute ground turkey for the ground beef and no one can tell the difference.

Steps:
- Brown ground beef and add taco seasoning as directed on packet. We usually use a little less water though.
- Chunk the Velveeta and add to crockpot.
- Pour in jar of salsa and add the prepared meat.
- Let melt together in the crockpot, stirring occasionally.
- At times, we have been in a hurry and used the microwave to help speed up the melting process for the Velveeta. Then just add the melted Velveeta to the other ingredients in the crockpot to keep warm and melty for dipping!
- We have also used Mexican style Velveeta and Pepper jack, and it was just as good. Feel free to experiment.

- In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and salt over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain. Stir in cheddar cheese; set aside., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook and stir the soup, process cheese and milk over medium heat until cheese is melted. Stir in chilies and pimientos., In a large skillet, fry tortillas, one at a time, in oil for 5 seconds on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. , Place a scant 1/4 cup of reserved meat mixture down the center of each tortilla. Roll up and place seam side down in greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over the top. , Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. If desired, sprinkle with cilantro before serving.
