1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon 2% milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
MAPLE GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 to 1 teaspoon maple flavoring, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla. Combine flour, oats, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in bacon and pecans. , Spread into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
    For glaze, in a small bowl, mix confectioners’ sugar, syrup and, if desired, maple flavoring. Drizzle over bars; let stand until set.

A new way to serve Holiday Ham - with BACON!

Total Time 2 hours 20 minutes

Yield 12 servings

Steps:

    1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
    2. Unwrap the ham and gently score the top of the ham in a cross-hatch pattern.
    3. Pour the 1/2 cup of water onto a baking sheet and place the ham cut side down on the pan.
    4. Weave the bacon over the top of the ham and secure on the sides with toothpicks.
    5. Place the ham in the oven and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes per lbs. or until the center reaches the temperature of 140 F.
    6. Remove ham from the oven and drizzle over the top with honey.
    7. Remove the toothpicks.
    8. Carve the ham and ENJOY.
