Ingredients

8 ounces sour cream
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups whole milk
1 (16 ounce) package vanilla wafer cookies
4 bananas, peeled and sliced

Steps:

In large bowl combine sour cream, whipped topping, pudding mix and milk. Stir well. In the bottom of a trifle bowl or other glass serving dish, put a layer of cookies, then a layer of pudding mixture, then a layer of bananas. Repeat until all ingredients are used. Refrigerate until serving.

This is the best banana pudding ever, thats what i am told over and over and i just chuckle cause its soooo easy. made three of these over the weekend and my daughters coworkers devoured one and asked for more, the family ate one and some friends who dropped in demolished the third. So easy but so full of yummy goodness!

Ingredients

- 1 small box of jello banana instant pudding and ingredients to make it.
- 1-8oz tub of cool whip whipped topping
- 1 box nilla wafers (i wont substitute brand)
- about 4 bananas cut in slices

Steps:

Prepare pudding according to package. And let sit for the two minutes.
Line bottom and sides of a 9 X 9 glass pan with Nilla wafers.
To the banana pudding bowl, fold in 1/2 tub of cool whip whipped topping. Fold until completely blended.
Pour 1/2 the pudding mix over the nilla wafers.
Lay rows of banana slices over this.
Place nilla wafers in between bananas, then top all this with remaining pudding.
Make rows of nilla wafers and bananas by alternating wafer, banana, wafer banana.
Top the banana slices with dollops of remaining cool whip.
Refrigerate several hours before serving

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in milk until smooth. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. , Remove from the heat. Stir a small amount of hot milk mixture into egg yolks; return all to pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat; gently stir in butter and vanilla. , In an ungreased 8-in. square baking dish, layer a third of the vanilla wafers, bananas and filling. Repeat layers twice., For meringue, beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, on high until stiff peaks form. Spread evenly over hot filling, sealing edges to sides of dish. Bake until meringue is golden, 12-15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack 1 hour. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.

ON THE DAY In a large mixing bowl, mash 50g of butter with a pinch of cinnamon, 50g of sugar and the vanilla paste. Crack in the eggs, squeeze in the clementine juice, add the milk and whisk together. At this point, you could add a splash of smooth whisky, brandy or golden rum, if you wish. Peel, finely slice and add the bananas, destone, finely chop and add the dates, randomly tear in the panettone, and mix it all together really well. Grease a shallow baking dish (25cm diameter) with a little butter, pour in the mixture, sprinkle over the almonds and a pinch of cinnamon, then cover and refrigerate until needed. TO SERVE Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Bake the pudding for 40 minutes, or until golden and bubbling, then leave to rest for 10 minutes while you make the sauce. Put the remaining 150g of sugar into a small non-stick frying pan with 50ml of water. Place on a medium heat and let the sugar melt until you have a chestnut brown caramel, swirling the pan occasionally – don’t be tempted to touch it. Stand back and whisk in the cream until smooth and combined – it will bubble vigorously – then whisk in the remaining 15g of butter. Either pour the sauce over the pudding, or carefully decant it into a cute jug, for pouring at the table. Great with vanilla ice cream, if you so wish.
