1 cup flour
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 ¼ cup egg whites
1 ¼ tsp cream of tartar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are using the angel food cake pan, no need for buttering and flouring. If you are not, then coat it up with butter and flour. 
  • Separate the egg whites one-by-one. Then, transfer the whites to a larger bowl. 
  • Sift the sugar and flour separately. Keep aside. 
  • Pour egg whites, cream of tartar, salt and vanilla into a bowl and whisk it low to medium-high speed.
