3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Freshly ground black pepper
4 (6 ounce) salmon filets
Sliced scallions for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce, honey, balsamic, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Place the salmon on an oiled bailing sheet, then brush about 1/2 the glaze over the salmon. Bake the salmon 5 minutes, the brush with more glaze. Bake another 5 minutes, then brush with any additional glaze. Continue to bake the salmon until it is just cooked through, about 5 minutes more. Serve sprinkled with sliced scallions.

heavy-duty aluminum foil
½ cup honey
8 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 (4 pound) salmon fillet
4 stalks green onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with heavy-duty foil.
  • Whisk honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, Sriracha, and pepper together in a bowl.
  • Place salmon on the prepared baking sheet and fold up the sides of the foil. Spoon the honey mixture over the salmon. Cover with another sheet of foil and crimp edges to seal.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn on the broiler.
  • Remove the top piece of foil and broil until caramelized and slightly charred, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.
