Tasty and light with a crispy crust and milk sauce

potatoes - optional
cooking oil
sour cream
dill
garlic
cheese - or use feta
yogurt - thick

Steps:

  • Peel the potatoes, each potato , while whole, is salted, coated with oil and wrapped in foil. Arrange the wrapped individually potatoes in a baking dish with water on the bottom, as you do not bake a dry pan. When the water dries a bit, add some more and bake finished.
  • Separately prepare the sauce for topping: mix the cream with two tablespoons of yogurt, finely chopped dill and some chopped garlic cloves.
  • Pull the finished potatoes from the oven, carefully take them out of the film. In individual bowls, put a few potatoes pour the sauce lightly over and add shredded cheese or feta cheese.
  • Sprinkle with chopped dill.

2 large potatoes (white, idaho)
1 tbsp oil (or bacon drippings)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Wash potatoes over running water and pat dry.
  • Puncture each potato about ½ dozen times all around with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  • Rub some bacon drippings around each potato to coat. Alternatively, use a cooking oil.
  • Place on a baking sheet or directly on the oven shelf. Bake for about 1 hour.
  • Test to confirm baked by poking half-way deep with a fork. No resistance past the skin is good for being done.
