For this baked fish recipe, all you have to do is mix up an easy lemon-butter sauce for fish, drizzle it on, and pop your fillets in the oven. You’ll be enjoying Baked Fish Fillets in just half an hour. This recipe works wonderfully with any mild-flavored fish, meaning you can switch it up and have baked cod, baked tilapia, baked catfish, or whatever looks best at the fish counter!

1 pound mild-flavored fish fillet, about 3/4 inch thick
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom of rectangular pan, 11x7x1 1/2 inches.
  • Cut fish fillets into 4 serving pieces if needed. Place pieces, skin sides down, in the pan, folding thin ends under if necessary for even thickness.
  • Mix remaining ingredients; drizzle over fish.
  • Bake uncovered 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1½ lb (roughly 18 ounce), boneless, cut into strips chicken breasts
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup bread crumbs
1 beaten egg
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 cups cooking oil
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Soak the chicken strips in buttermilk and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Prepare 3 bowls. Whisk the egg with a little water in the first bowl.
  • Place the breadcrumbs and seasonings in the second bowl.
  • Combine the flour and baking powder in last bowl.
  • Dredge the chicken in the flour first, then dip it in the eggs and finally coat in the breadcrumbs.
  • Deep fry at 350 degrees F. Leave in the pan for about 10 minutes, until the skin is golden.
  • Place on a paper towel to absorb extra oil.
  • Serve with ketchup or barbecue sauce.
