DELIGHTFULLY BAKED APPLES - SKINNYTASTE
Baked apples topped with oats, cinnamon and brown sugar. Like little individual apple crisps without all the added fuss of cutting and peeling the apples. A simple dessert for a cool autumn evening, serve this a la mode for an extra special treat!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Cut apples in half and remove core and seeds with a small pairing knife or spoon.
- In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon. Spoon on top of the apple halves and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream if desired.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a saucepan, heat butter over medium heat. Add apple, cranberries, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; cook and stir 5-7 minutes or until apple is tender., Cut Brie horizontally in half; place bottom half in a 9-in. pie plate. Top with half of the apple mixture; replace top. Top with remaining apple mixture., Bake, uncovered, 10-12 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. Serve warm with crackers.

- Preheat oven to 400° and line a large baking sheet with parchment. In a medium pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook until apples are soft and most of the juice has cooked off, about 8 minutes. Let cool. On a lightly floured surface, roll puff pastry out to a 12” square. Divide into 8 rectangles. Spoon apples into center of 4 rectangles, leaving a ¼” border around puff pastry. Top with remaining rectangles and crimp edges together with a fork. Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, cut 4 slits into tops of each pie. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Place pies onto prepared pan and bake until golden, 25 minutes.
