PUERTO RICAN STYLE BEANS - SKINNYTASTE
This is my quick version of Puerto Rican style beans, which I make with either pink or red canned beans and diced potatoes, perfect when you need a quick side.

Steps:
- In a mini food processor, chop onions, garlic, pepper and cilantro.
- Add oil to a medium saucepan and sauté the chopped ingredients, cook on medium heat until soft, about 2 minutes.
- Add the beans (not drained) to the saucepan along with 3/4 cup of water.
- Add tomato sauce, potato, sazon, bay leaf, oregano, salt if needed and pinch of black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low for about 20 minutes, or until potatoes are soft.
- Discard bay leaf and serve over rice if you wish.

- 1. Preheat the crockpot: Turn the crockpot to high heat and close the lid.2. Season both sides of the turkey wings.3. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add in the butter.4. Once melted, add in the turkey wings and sear on each side for 3 to 4 minutes, then remove and add them to the crockpot.5. Add the onions and peppers to the skillet and saute for 2 minutes, then remove and add to the crockpot with the turkey wings.6. Slurry for gravy: In a big bowl, combine the turkey broth, cream of chicken, and flour, then stir well.7. Pour the slurry into the crockpot over the turkey wings, cover with a lid, and cook for 3-1/2 to 4 hrs. 8. After 2 hrs, open the lid, move the turkey wings around and stir the gravy. Then close the lid and let them continue cooking until done.
