BACON BOW TIE CRACKERS RECIPE - SOUTHERN LIVING
We love any recipe that revolves around bacon, and in this case, bacon is literally the center of attention. You might want to double this recipe, because these Bacon Bow Tie Crackers won't last long at any gathering. Buttery crackers and salty bacon slices are a match made in snack heaven. This bite-size appetizer comes together with just two ingredients: bacon and crackers. Chances are you have these at home already. This recipe is so easy to make, you can get the kids to help. A tip from the test kitchen: A gentle stretch of the cut bacon pieces makes for an easier wrap around the cracker. This snack is perfect to make ahead for a holiday or fall party, but be sure you allow enough time for the bacon to get crisp in the oven, adding extra crunch. These crackers are so easy to pick up and pop in your mouth, you might not be able to leave the appetizer table at the next potluck (don't be selfish, though!). That saying "bet you can't eat just one" should have been about this old-school Southern snack, because you won't be saving room for dinner if you get your hands on these. While these little crackers due take time to bake, that just means you can get yourself and the house ready and still have a warm appetizer on the table when guests arrive.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Cut each bacon slice crosswise into thirds (to make a total of 24 pieces). Wrap 1 bacon piece around narrow center of each cracker without overlapping ends. Arrange in a single layer, seam side down, on a lightly greased wire rack set in a rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven until bacon is crisp and center edges have pulled in to resemble a bow tie, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack 5 minutes before serving.
