Total Time 55 minutes

Prep Time 30 minutes

Cook Time 25 minutes

Yield 16 servings (4 cups dip).

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 package (16 ounces) frozen bread dough dinner rolls (12 rolls), thawed
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
DIP:
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
2 garlic cloves, minced
1-1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1 can (14 ounces) water-packed artichoke hearts, rinsed, drained and chopped
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/4 cup chopped sweet red pepper

Steps:

  • Place a 6-in. cake pan or small ovenproof saucepan in the center of a 10-in. cast-iron skillet. Cut each roll into thirds; roll each piece into a ball. Place along outer edge of skillet. Gently stack remaining balls on top of bottom layer, leaving some space between them. Cover and let rise until almost doubled, about 30 minutes., Preheat oven to 400°. Microwave butter, garlic powder and red pepper flakes, covered, until butter is melted. Brush half the butter mixture over dough. Reserve remaining butter mixture., Bake until dough balls are set and beginning to brown, 15-18 minutes. Remove cake pan from skillet. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms; cook and stir until tender, 5-7 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer., In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, cream cheese, 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Add the mushroom mixture, artichokes and spinach., Spoon dip into center of skillet; sprinkle with red pepper and remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella. Brush rolls with remaining butter mixture; sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan. Bake until dip is heated through and rolls are golden brown, 10-15 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with additional red pepper flakes.

CHICKEN WITH ARTICHOKES AND LEMON RECIPE - NYT COOKING
If you like artichokes as much as I do, this recipe, often made at Passover by Jews from Morocco, is for you. You can use fresh or frozen artichokes, though trimming fresh artichokes is worth the effort for their delicate texture. To save waste, boil the trimmed artichoke leaves about 15 minutes until tender in water with a lemon, then enjoy them for lunch, dipping them into an easy sauce of yogurt spiked with a spoonful of Dijon mustard. Easily made in a frying pan, this tagine goes well with couscous, or a quinoa or bulgur pilaf, though that might depend on your Passover traditions, and Moroccan Jews do not allow rice or couscous. The dish can easily be made a day or two in advance and refrigerated or even frozen.

  • Raise the heat to medium-high and cook until the sauce is thickened and the artichokes slightly browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the juice from half the remaining lemon, taste, and adjust with salt and more lemon juice if needed. Spoon artichokes and pan sauces over the chicken, sprinkle with parsley to garnish, and serve.

PIZZA HUT PAN PIZZA COPYCAT RECIPE | TOP SECRET RECIPES
The secret to perfect pan pizza is pressing the dough into a well-oiled pan (Pizza Hut uses soybean oil), then the pan is covered and the dough rises in a heated cabinet for 45 to 60 minutes. When the dough is topped, the edge is sprayed with a butter-flavored “food release” and the pie is baked at 500 degrees F until perfectly browned on top. You can use a 9-inch, 12-inch, or 15-inch deep dish pizza pan or cake pan for this recipe, and you’ll want to preheat your oven with a pizza stone in it to simulate the type of oven used at the chain. The hot ceramic surface of the pizza stone will cause the oil in the pan to cook the bottom of the dough so that it’s brown and crispy like an authentic pan pizza crust should be. I tried making the dough with cake flour, all-purpose flour, superfine “00” flour, bread flour and many combinations of these different flours which all contain varying amounts of gluten. I even tried rising the dough slowly in the refrigerator for various lengths of time as long as up to four days. But after a month of testing and about 30 pan pizzas later, I found the best dough to be straight bread flour, and to let the dough rise at room temperature. I did find that if you let the dough rest for at least 4 hours before the final rise in the pizza pan you will get the best texture with the perfect chewy bite to it.  Try my clone recipes for Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pizza and Tuscani Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta here.Source: Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 3 by Todd Wilbur.
