Easy Strawberry Butter Recipe: How to Make It image

After picking strawberries for the first time, I developed this fruity, spreadable butter. Try making other fruit spreads using raspberries or blackberries, or a seedless jam like apricot, my favorite. —Julie Herrera-Lemler, Rochester, Minnesota

Yield 2-1/4 cups.

Number Of Ingredients 3

6 large fresh strawberries, stems removed and room temperature
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 to 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Pulse strawberries in a food processor until chopped. Add butter and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar; process until blended. Add enough remaining confectioners' sugar to reach a spreading consistency and desired level of sweetness. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Baked Brie in Puff Pastry Recipe | Allrecipes image

This wonderful, light puff pastry is filled with melted Brie cheese. Serve with crackers on the side.

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 3

½ (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese
¼ cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degree C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan.
  • Slice the wheel of Brie in half, horizontally, so that the halves are two, flatter wheels of Brie. Lay the puff pastry in the pie pan. Place half of the Brie (rind-side down) onto the pastry dough. Sprinkle almonds evenly over the top. Place the other half of the Brie (rind-side up) over the almonds. Bundle the pastry dough around the Brie.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Let stand at room temperature until frosting is dry and firm, several hours. , For each color you use, in separate small bowls, combine 1/2 teaspoon food coloring with 2-3 teaspoon water. Pour onto food-safe stamp pad or folded paper towel. Press stamp gently onto pad, ensuring an even coating of coloring adheres to stamp. Press stamp gently onto dried icing. Repeat with remaining cookies. Let stand until dry, several hours. Store in an airtight container.
