A delicious, easy company dish - the flavors are wonderful. A favorite with my family. I usually double the recipe so we can have leftovers.

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
¼ cup butter
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
½ cup white wine
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup
4 ounces cream cheese with chives
1 pound angel hair pasta

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in the package of dressing mix. Blend in wine and golden mushroom soup. Mix in cream cheese, and stir until smooth. Heat through, but do not boil. Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over.
  • Bake for 60 minutes in the preheated oven. Twenty minutes before the chicken is done, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain. Serve chicken and sauce over pasta.

2 pound(s) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 stick(s) butter + 2 tbsp, divided
4 ounce(s) fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 small onion, finely diced
- salt & pepper, to taste
1 cup(s) white wine
2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 teaspoon(s) dried italian seasoning
1 - (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, cut into cubes
1 - 16 oz. box angel hair pasta
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 cup(s) chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup(s) fresh, grated parmesan, (optional)
- more fresh grated parsley for garnishing (optional)

Steps:

  • Season chicken breasts with salt & pepper.
  • Melt 1/2 stick butter in pan over medium high heat; add chicken breasts and brown on each side. Remove chicken breasts to crock pot.
  • Add mushrooms and onions to pan drippings and saute until softened and browned. Add the mushrooms and onions to slow cooker.
  • Lower heat to medium low and add to pan drippings, cream of mushroom soup, Italian seasoning, cream cheese and white wine. Stir over medium-low heat until cream cheese is melted and ingredients are thoroughly blended.
  • Pour sauce over chicken. Cook on low in slow cooker for 3-4 hours.
  • in last 20 minutes of cooking start preparing angel hair pasta according to package directions.
  • Drain pasta, add 2 Tbsp. butter, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 cup of chopped parsley and toss.
  • Layer pasta on a plate and top with one chicken breast and sauce.
  • Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan and more fresh chopped parsley if desired.
