1/4 cup Butter
1 minced yellow onion
1 chopped celery
2 truRoots® Organic Sprouted Quinoa & Ancient Grain Blend
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 3/4 cups Water
1 3/4 cups unsalted chicken stock
1 1/4 teaspoons fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme

Steps:

  • 1. MELT butter in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Saute onion and celery until softened. Add quinoa & grain blend and garlic. Cook and stir until garlic is fragrant.
  • 2. ADD water, stock, salt and thyme. Bring to boil. Reduce to simmer. Cover and cook about 28 minutes or until are tender. Remove from heat. Let stand, 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
