2 cups butter, softened
4 (16-ounce) packages powdered sugar, sifted
¾ teaspoon salt
½ cup almond liqueur
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup milk

Steps:

  • Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in one-fourth powdered sugar; add salt, liqueur, and vanilla, beating until blended. Gradually add remaining powdered sugar alternately with milk, beginning and ending with powdered sugar. Beat at medium speed to spreading consistency. Cover to prevent drying.

¼ cup frozen cranberries, or more to taste
2 tablespoons milk
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine butter and shortening in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Combine frozen cranberries and milk in a blender; blend until pureed. Add to butter mixture with confectioners' sugar; mix until well combined. Beat in almond extract and vanilla extract. Stir until just blended, then beat until a thick frosting consistency is obtained.
