Butter Cookies II Recipe | Allrecipes image

This is a simple butter cookie that can be used in a cookie press, as a drop cookie or made into a roll and sliced. There is no mystery cookie for a cookie press...any stiff butter type can be used. Just be sure to chill it thoroughly so it keeps its shape while baking.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2?? cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least one hour. Chill cookie sheets.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Press dough out onto ungreased, chilled cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden at the edges. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

"Keto (Low Carb) Chili"

Number Of Ingredients 12

4 lb Ground Beef
1 lb Hot Ground Sausage
2 Large onions
2 Large green peppers
2 tsp of garlic powder
1/8 cup of cumin
1/4 cup of chili powder
1/2 to 1 tsp cayenne pepper ( the more you use the hot
3 tsp salt
2 10.5 oz can of Rotel Tomatoes and Green Chilies.
1 29 oz can of Tomato Puree.
32 ounces beef broth

Steps:

  • "1. Brown 3 1/2 pounds of hamburger meat. While the meat is browning... 2. Use a food processor to chop two green bell peppers and one yellow onion. 3. Drain the fat off the browned hamburger into a bowl. (Do not throw away). 4. Pour about half the drained fat back into the pot (over a cup of fat, I reused about half of that, a little over 1/2 cup this time), you could use all the fat, but it might make the chili too greasy. 5. Add the spices you prepared into the pot with the meat and mix. 6. Add chopped onions and peppers into the pot with the meat and mix. 7. Add a full box of beef broth. 8. Mix in 10.5 oz. can of Rotel tomatoes and green chilies and 10.75 oz. can of tomato puree. 9. Mix it all up and let it cook for 30-45 minutes on medium heat, stir often. Serve it up with some shredded real whole fat cheese and/or sour cream. And hopefully enjoy."
