I've considered going with a 12 qt version. But the 8 qt takes up a bit less space on the pot rack shelf, it's big enough to make a solid 3 qt batch of stock (which is as much as I make at a time), and it's easy enough to handle and wash. So I think I'll stick with another 8 qt model.
