This one is a quick recipe that merely involves mixing a few basic ingredients and patting the dough into the pan. No need to wait for the dough to rise with this approach.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

Steps:

  • Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm water. Spread out on a large pizza pan. Top as desired.
  • Bake at 375 degrees C (190 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.

4-in-1 Pizza – Recipe Champions image

3 1/2-4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup rigatoni noodles
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup vodka (optional)
2 tbsp calabrian chili paste
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 medium chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
1 cup reserved pasta water
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 can San Marzana tomatoes
2 tbsp onion and garlic powder
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp chopped parsley
12 small pieces of string cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni
1 egg beaten

Steps:

  • In a bowl of a stand mixer combine all purpose flour and salt.
  • In a small bowl, combine the yeast with half the warm water, sugar and olive oil. Wait until the yeast gets frothy (about 5 minutes)
  • Start the stand mixer and slowly add the yeast and water mixture. Then add the remaining water until a dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out on a floured surface and place it in a greased bowl. Cover it and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Season with salt
  • Add the pasta, and cook for about 7 minutes reserving ½ cup of pasta water
  • Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a medium high frying pan.
  • Add the onions and cook until they soften (about 3-5 minutes)
  • Add the garlic and cook for about a minute.
  • Add the tomato paste and mix it all together until the tomato paste has combined with the onions and garlic If you're using vodka, add it now and mix it into the rest of the ingredients.
  • Add some heavy cream and a bit of the pasta water to the frying pan. Mix it all together until a sauce forms
  • Add the noodles and mix well with the sauce until the sauce has coated all the noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese and set aside
  • In a blender or food processor, combine the tomatoes, garlic and onion powder, oregano and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Blend until smooth and transfer to a bowl
  • Combine the melted butter with the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Set aside
  • Take the dough out of the bowl and roll it out to about 2-3 inches bigger than the pizza tray you’ll use to cook it on
  • Pull one side of the dough a little further out (enough to fold over to create a calzone).
  • On the opposite end of the calzone, cut roughly 10 strips of dough (depending how big you want to make your pizza)
  • Place a piece of the string cheese in between two cuts, and tie a knot. Repeat this for the rest of the cut pieces.
  • On the opposite end, add some of the rigatoni pasta, then fold over the stretched out dough to create the calzone.
  • Using a brush, coat the garlic knots in the garlic butter mixture.
  • At this point you should have a centerpiece of dough ready to make the pizza in. Add some of the sauce, followed by some mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
  • For an extra golden brown crust, coat the top of the calzone in the beaten egg, garnish with some extra parsley.
  • Sprinkle some dried oregano over the pepperoni pizza.
  • Bake at 500º F for 20 minutes. Enjoy!
